Our chapter raises money to support student scholarships for area Hokies. Please make a gift to support a new generation of Hokies and encourage incoming students you know to apply for our scholarships.


Volunteer

We depend on local volunteers to keep our chapter active. There are volunteer opportunities for all Hokies with varying time commitments. Please join us!

    In memoriam: Sandra Davis, Board of Visitors vice rector , article

    Davis, a recipient of Virginia Tech’s highest honor and one of a select few friends of the university to have been named an honorary life member of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association, passed away on Tuesday, March 17. She was 79.

From Hokie student athlete to professional basketball player to assistant principal at a New York charter school, Starling credits writing and the influence of Nikki Giovanni for helping her find her voice and her purpose.

    Hurricane hunter and Hokie Rebecca Keller ’18 recently returned to Virginia Tech to speak with students and alumni about her work with NOAA at the Student Engineers’ Council 2026 Distinguished Lecture, part of Engineers Week. A graduate of Virginia Tech’s aerospace engineering program, Keller shared her passion for her unique job flying into the eye of the storm to gather data that improves weather forecasts. She credits the problem solving skills she learned at Virginia Tech with her career success in engineering. Want to learn more about hurricane hunters?     VMCVM Alumni Spotlight: Katherine Broaddus , article

    Meet Katherine Broaddus '83, DVM '86, a veterinarian with Broad Run Veterinary Service in Bluemont, Virginia. One of only a few women to finish the Vermont 100 both on horse and foot, she is passionate about exposing people to foxhunting and carriage driving to preserve those sports for the future. Broaddus said being an alum has allowed her unlimited access over the years to top doctors and advice without judgement. She encourages current veterinary students to do a complete history and physical examination to diagnose patients before implementing the help of modern technology.
