San Francisco Bay Area
Our Mission
The San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association serves the city of San Francisco and the Greater Bay Area. The purpose of our chapter is to foster communication and camaraderie among its members and the University and to promote the image and reputation of Virginia Tech. We strive to promote strong positive relationships among alumni and others within the community. This mission includes opportunities for alumni and friends to partake in "Ut Prosim" service and social events, and provide a welcoming environment for Hokies visiting or moving to the San Francisco Bay Area creating a "Home for Hokies".
The San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association is part of an international network of Virginia Tech alumni and friends. For more information on Hokies in your area or to update your current information, visit the Alumni Association Site at www.alumni.vt.edu
Be sure to view the Upcoming Events page to learn about upcoming service and social events.
New this year, we have multiple options for online networking including this website, a Facebook group, a LinkedIn group, and a group on Hokie Nation Network. The sfhokies Yahoo group is still a key resource. Go to the Contact Us page for information on how to join these groups and keep in touch. Notifications go out through those groups.
