Coming up:

• Sunday, April 17th, 2011 – Oatlands Steeplechase Races – Come join your fellow alumni for a day at the horse races.  Rt. 15 South of Leesburg.  Admission charge applies.
• Thursday, June 2nd, 2011 – 21st Annual VT Golf Classic – at the Loudoun Golf & Country Club in Purcellville, VA.  Call the Pro Shop for more details:  540-338-7705.
• Sunday, August 7th, 2011 – Alumni Picnic and Freshman Send-off – at the Fox Ridge Park on Catoctin Circle, SE  Leesburg.  Come join your fellow alumni for a pot luck luncheon under the pavilion as we send off the future VT class of 2015 for their freshman year at Tech.  RSVP required.
• Football Watching Parties – for each televised VT football game - gather around the TVs at the Spanky’s Shenanigans in Leesburg.  They’re located at 535 East Market Street in the Leesburg Plaza Shopping Center.  Wear your VT colors and you will receive 10% off your bill (excluding alcohol).  And they provide a free shuttle bus service within Loudoun County, too.  Spanky’s Shenanigan’s phone # (703) 478-1000.

Mission

The basic purposes of Loudoun Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association are as follows:

• To provide an important communications link between alumni and the university;
• To promote the image and reputation of Virginia Tech within the community;
• To promote strong positive relationships among alumni, students, parents and others within the community;
• To support the activities of Virginia Tech and work toward the realization of the university's educational goals;
• To provide the university with a strong core of alumni volunteers who serve as an important marketing arm of the university; and
• To promote the alumni pride and spirit of Virginia Tech
